Aufnahme und Nachbearbeitung:
Ich gab meinem Kumpel Dean von Negative ISO Photography mein Handy in die Hand und ließ ihn mit einer Taschenlampen-App unter das Auto leuchten. Später entfernte ich störende Lichtpunkte und hellte die hellen Randstreifen am Auto auf.

Planning the shot and post-processing:
I handed my buddy Dean from Negative ISO Photography my mobilephone and let him use a flashlight-app to light the bottom of the car. Later I removed annoying lightspots and brightened stripes on the car.

Komposition:
Ich hatte nicht die Möglichkeit das Auto ganz abzulichten, da sich ansonsten andere Wagen störend ins Bild geschoben hätten. Verpasst habe ich es leider, den rechten Reifen mit rauf zukriegen.

Composition:
I did not have a chance to get all of the car onto the picture, because other cars would have been on it to, which would have been very distracting. Unfortunately I missed to get the right tire fully into the frame.

Ich lief an diesem Fenster vorbei spürte sofort etwas magisches, was ich festhalten musste.
Wenn ich mir vorstelle jeden Tag diese Treppen steigen zu müssen.
I passed by this window and felt something magical that I had to capture.
If I had to walk these stairs every day.

Aufnahme und Bearbeitung:
Ich habe, um die Beleuchtung richtig hinzukriegen mit Spot-Messung auf die mehr oder weniger weißen Wände gezielt. Mir war die Treppe noch zu hell, deswegen habe ich diese in der Nachbearbeitung verdunkelt und Details entfernt, die mir störend ins Auge fielen.
Da ich durch eine Glasscheibe fotografiert habe, hatte ich viele Reflektionen im Bild. Auch diese habe ich entfernt.

Planning the shot and post-processing:
To get the lighting right I set the spot-metering to one of the more or less white walls. The stairs were to bright, so I darkened them in post-processing as well as removing some distracting details.
I shot through a window and had to remove annoying reflections.

Komposition:
Ich habe mich bewusst dagegen entschieden die Führungslinien horizontal auszurichten. Das Bild kippt dadurch leicht zur Seite. Dies wird jedoch durch die Blickführung ausgeglichen, welche von links in das Bild führt und dann von unten der Treppe folgt, welche nach oben links führt. Die Neigung hilft ein mystisches Gefühl zu schaffen.

Composition:
I deliberatly decided to not level this picture. Because of this, the image seems to fall to the right. I countered this problem by leading the eye down to the ground and "going up the stairs" to the left. The tilt helps to create a certain mystical feeling.

Aufnahme und Bearbeitung:
Hier ging die Spotmessung auf eine mittel-helle Stelle an der Wand zwischen den Regalstreben. Ich habe mir viel Zeit genommen um ein ordentliches grau hinzukriegen. An der Kamera ist das schlecht einzuschätzen und ich musste die Belichtung noch etwas nachdunkeln in der RAW Bearbeitung.
Hier erschien ein großer Lichtpunkt im Bild, welchen ich nachträglich entfernt habe.

Planning the shot and post-processing:
I aimed the lightmeter in spotmode to a not to bright spot on the wall. I've taken my time to get the grays right. Because this was hard to evaluate on the camera I have darken it a little in the RAW-editor.
A bright light appeared on the window, which I removed later.

Komposition:
Die Komposition lebt hier stark von der horizontalen Symmetrie in der Mitte des Regals.
Dieses Motiv wird dadurch interessanter, das man die Gegenstände auf dem Regal nur schwer erkennen kann.

Composition:
The composition depends on the horizontal symmetry in the middle of the shelf.
This scene sparks interest, because the shelf holds objects which you can just barely identify.
